Training cuts or Not?

In the present climate businesses are looking at cutting costs. Unfortunately training is seen by many as a cost that can be saved. When times are tight, training budgets get cut. What are the impacts of doing this?

Staff are less productive.
  1. Time is wasted asking questions about processes or tasks that simple training sessions would sort out.
  2. New initiatives are not undertaken
  3. Statutory training is not undertaken
  4. People are frustrated by simple things

Businesses should look at training as an investment as an asset. Training staff will make them more productive which in turn could lead to less staff being employed to do the same job, therefore saving money. Check out courses at http://www.itseasy.co.uk/
